Some people call it musings. Some people call it random crap. Some people call it a slice of life. I call it superfluous miscellany, which roughly translates into "a bit too much of a bunch of different stuff." Enjoy!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
Um. Uh. Wow. Really? Huh. Gee. Golly. Oh my. That makes this post one thousand seventeen words.
I've seen this picture hundreds of times but am only now noticing the prop 8 flag in the background. I guess I was always too distracted by the muscles before.
Those are some impressive muscles. I think the rhetoric may just be too strong for my blood. So little in life leaves me speechless but that modification...well, it...
Shellie, you are so agreeable. Still looking for true religion for you. Size 6?
Thora, I'll have to get you the link to Friberg's chicken picture over at Ardis' blog. Way cool. At eleven, he could out-sketch most professional artists.
Annette, what next? Mormon stretching his hand out over decaying Californian society with a "Protect Families" bumper sticker on his forehead?
Jo, send Sue more chocolate or $10,000. It totally works!
By the by, my friends, I am planning on voting yes and have been since I heard about it. Save the English language and society as we know it and all that. It's just that this campaign is so freaking ugly. Friend against friend. Neighbor against neighbor. Competing Friberg bastardizations. It's horrifying.
No need to be anon. Some of my closest friends are enthusiastically supporting "Yes on 8." It hasn't dimmed my respect or love for them in the slightest. Or you either.
See my newest post, if you like. I finally found some words for my dismay.

ReplyDeleteOh dear.

ReplyDeletedid.
ReplyDeleteHee hee hee
ReplyDeleteI like that you used the word rhetoric. That's my favorite word.
ReplyDeleteHey, how'd you get to be best friends with Sue all the sudden?
ReplyDeleteI sent her chocolate. Duh!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree :)
ReplyDeleteIt's just as my forthcoming novel (synopsis on my blog)"The Friberg Code" will prove; Friberg really did know more than he let on.....
ReplyDeleteCue the twilight music....
I saw one the other day with Samuel the Lamanite on the wall. Okay then, people . . .
ReplyDeleteSue dumped me. I am jealous now. Um, yeah, not really impressed with that pic. Not a bit. Wow.

Maybe taking a bit far? I don't know. Our God, our religion, our families. . . All those things say "yes on prop 8" to me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this picture, whatever you think about it! :)
