Behold, my glorious California poppies:
This is the lovely and oh so fragrant Rosa rugosa "Roseraie de l’Hay" She's supposed to be a huge thorny 6 foot living fence between my family and the cold cruel world.
Maybe in another few years.
In the meantime, isn't she gorgeous? And what a heavenly perfume!
Here's my cute little my broccoli which I hope will grow bigger without going to seed. I've got about eight others that are trying to decide if they are going to bring forth plentifully or not.
Happy Spring!

Lovely! I so hear ya on the roses. I planted a climbing rose last spring that was supposed to yield roses way back when. I'm still waiting (I gave it its own trellised arch and everything--it better be worth it!) Over 3,100 words today! Woo hoo!
Beautiful! This is why I love spring.
I'm jealous! My grass is so brown...
Oh, how I love California poppies!
I'm jealous of your advanced springtime in CA! Here snow flurries came yesterday, and my lone Daffodil lay down and died.
Oh you are so cute.
It's so fun to blog from Hawaii because while life just stays the same ole' same ole' for me I get to watch the entire world crawl into their winter shell and start taking prozac and then crawl back out again.
You can totally feel spring in the air in the bloggernacle.
I am so ready for spring. Your flowers are beautiful!
I LOVE poppies! They are one of my very favorite flowers. I really like the other one too. Who cares if the house is messy, you can go outside!
