Answer these questions.
What were you doing ten years ago?
- 1998, I was living in Auburn, CA with my husband and three children, moaning about gas prices hitting $ 1.50 a gallon, wondering if I'd ever be able to buy a van and a house. I was new homeschooling mom, with E in Kindergarten.
What are five things on your To-Do list today?
- Buy new tires for the van.
- Shower
- Go to the library
- Shakespeare in the Park
- Clean the kitchen
What are your favorite snacks?
- Ice Cream, any, but good vanilla with rolled oats on top is my favorite
- Cookies
- Cookie dough
Places you have lived?
- Dayton, Ohio
- Davis, California
- Provo, Utah
- Chicago, Illinois
- Sacramento, California
- Auburn, California
Five things you would do if you were a billionaire?
- No debt for me and my family plus a house and a car for each of us. (Is that like wishing for more wishes?)
- I would buy and renovate every house in my neighborhood.
- I would buy every vacant lot in town and landscape it.
- I would get a pedicure every week.
- I would hire Alice to come live with La family to keep me company and to do the hard work. (And I'd pay her a fortune.)
Five people you want to know more about?
(If it was six I'd choose my kids.)
- My aunt E
- Thomas Jefferson
- Fanny Alger
- My husband
- My father's twin
What are your favorite scents?

Okay I am not sure how this is done soooo here I go.
10 years ago:
My youngest of 6 children was 2 and the oldest was 9. I myself was doing much sole searching as well as finally mourning the death of my mother after 25+ years.
The to do list:
Well now that is after mid-night I guess number one is go to bed. Tomorrow will be basic cleaning, and making raspberry jam. (that sounds like I am this wonderful homemaker). I should say attempting to make jam at my house for the first time ever!!! I don't think there is going to be much more on todays to-do list.
Snacks:
My favorite snack is what I am in the mood for at the moment. sometimes Cantelope is number one.(It is calling my name from the refrige as I type) Last month after wanting some for over two weeks, I roasted marshmellows on the stove and made somores two nights in a row. Now I can take them or leave them.
Places I have lived:
California, Alabama, Washington (state), Hawaii, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, New York, California, and Utah again.
$$$:
Yes the debt would be paid off, put money away for each child to complete their education, finish my own education, invest, do the few cosmetic changes I would like to eventaully do to the home. I would love to have some land to have horses, and farm animals...Make sure our retirement was taken care of, have my husband buy his last few years of retirement to get the medical benefits... a billion can go quickly if there are medical expenses. I would set up a missionary( another account for education this one would need to have some stipulations attached) fund for all my children and grandchildren. That each individual family can add to each month and know that there childrens missions and education will not be hindered by finances.
Six people I would love to know more about( or converse with):
My Mother, Neal A. Maxwell, Jim Conkling, and those that are dear to my heart.
Scents:
Vanilla, Black Raspberry Vanilla, Cloves and Cinnamon, Fresh Clean Sheets on the bed, babies just bathed and covered in Johnson and Johnsons Baby Lotion, some one elses cooking I will be able to consume.
Games:
I love Othelo too it has been so long I forgot about the game. Hearts (on my computer), the shoe matching game, (on a friends web site), Rook (though I have forgotten how to play), Rummy, Master Mind...
Ah Ref, it's not a billion $ to spend. You're a *billionaire* which means you've got a billion or more pouring in every year. THAT makes all the difference.
10 years ago: I'm not really sure, to be honest. Working, probably at Eng's Board. Had bred 4 litters of pups...we were at the D's then.
5 To dos: 1.Work, or at least be there. 2.Work on my Diva bag (I have finished the liner, step 4 of 22) 3. Water the tomatoes and fill the bird bath. 4.Eat some leftovers for dinner. 5.Throw the ball, repeatedly.
Snacks: Cake, not too gooey. Cookie dough. Shortbread cookies. Watermelon.
Places I've lived: Fairborn, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; Xenia, Ohio; Huber Heights, Ohio; Davis, CA; Citrus Heights, CA.
Billionaire: Get an unlisted phone number and a good accountant; pay off all my debts; buy houses and cars for my daughters; fully fund gkid education; open a no kill shelter in a really nice location; go to a spa and stay till I was so beautiful and healthy they threw me out cause I was depressing the other inmates.
People of Interest: Daughers J& Y; Grandparents from over the pond long ago; Mom; Dad; Sisters (more than 5, too bad, I'm a rebel)
Scents: Lavendar, coffee, vanilla, rose, mown grass
Games: Cards, Monopoly, Sodoku, Crossword puzzles (game?), football (to watch), basketball (to watch)
I'm really enjoying reading this and would like to do my own meme, but I can barely keep my eyes open and its only 7:30pm! I'll try again another day. Thanks for the laughs, Jami!
